On Saturday went shopping and bought a new Oakley specs in KL Plaza. Been looking around in Mid Valley the past week for this new model. There is none here. So have to go by Monorail to KL Plaza to get this specs. Power almost the same as previous glasses except that this time the optician says we can fix multi focal lens even though with small frame. Will take some time to get use to multi focal lens.
Sunday as usual, morning run. Almost same time as last week run and this week running together with Mr. Lee of Kian Joo Can Berhad Account Dept. He runs the 20 km route and told him that I will try later after some seasoning of the 10km run.
I will do it.

Sunday run
This is my 8th Sunday running. My sons, Sunny and Sean started to join me for the run. Sunny in the third week and Sean just started last week. Sean did not run today, have to get a new running shoe before running again.
We ran fast today. We did it in one hour and ten minutes. Big improvement actually. Not easy to cut down the time by ten minutes.

Pacesetters again
5th Sunday morning. This morning started late and run alone. Woke up late as my sleep was interrupted from the noise coming from the fan at 3.30am. Went to bed again after 30 mins or so and it's tough to get up. Luckily I set up the alarm for 5.30am. Even then it's too tired until I force myself up at 6am.
Did the necessary and drive to Bukit Aman. Reach there 6.30am and started to run at 6.46am after warming up. Finished the run at 8.05am. So it's about 1hr 20mins run. 5 mins more than last Sunday. Goal is not more than 1 hour for 10km run. Got more to catch up and will try to run 3 times a week if I am not travelling.
Best Wishes,
yap.

Pacesetters
This is the third Sunday running. Last Sunday June 3rd was tough too. Today I run earlier at 6.20am and finished about 7.35am. It is ok if we have warmed up before the race and also cool down with stretching exercises too.
Happy happy running.

www.pacesetters.com.my
I decided to test my stamina and went Sunday morning to Bukit Aman car park where Pacesetters members will gather for their Sunday morning run. This is something that I long to do running with a group. Running alone no fun. I just jump in and join them on the run. What a run, first time for me to run slightly more than 10km. 5km, 6km is no issue but running with a group along KL roads, up and down hill on Sunday 6.30 morning is fun. Really tested my " gonna do it one day " challenge for myself to do it. This Sunday I "just do it". Happiness.
After the run I decided to join them as members and bought some running shirts and shorts. Real nice running apparel. Syiok man, the running high. I did it even though it is the first time for me. Tough, imagine those running, men and ladies, not young but they are damn strong runners. Cannot catch up with them but trying my level best following behind. Maybe they are regulars and have many years of running. Most of them are regular marathon runners. Saw some of them registering for the coming Penang Bridge Marathon 2007.
Anyway, experience the joy of finishing the run.

Wow wow wow, we started Saturday noon time from KL and what a jam. It takes us 3 hours to reach Rawang where normally it takes less than half an hour. Only after Tanjung Malim the traffice are able to move. The problem is cause by cars queing up to enter the highway rest areas in Sungei Buloh, Rawang and only Tapah is ok because they have a huge parking area for cars to enter easily. It took us 6 1/2 hours to reach Kuala Kangsar where the distance is less than 250 km. That means our travelling speed is about 40km/hr. You can see many stop by the roadside to pee. Furthermore it rains heavily and non stop all the way.
Next year we will travel by train. Never mind if it takes 4 hours or more rather than the frustration of caught in the traffic jam.
Anyway we are still in time for reunion dinner at 7.30pm. As usual after the dinner we have wines and cigars distributed by Datuk every year. Also ang pow are given to children.
The Chinese New Year in most of the villages are quieter now due to rural urban migration. There are less people now and most of the younger ones do not know each other apart from their own relatives.

Blog
Trying and trying to create this blog on a Sunday. We decided to create one for our next travel. It is always last minute as usual. We are planning to go on a 4WD convoy with a group to Kunming China from Kuala Lumpur on Feb 19th? With this blog we hope to list down the route we take on a daily basis on this trip. This is possible only if we are able to go online.
